HOWSON & HOWSON LLP is a long-established IP boutique law firm and is seeking an associate with 0-3 years experience, or a patent agent with a PhD or other advanced degree, for our Life Sciences team. The professional will provide scientific expertise and assist with all aspects of patent prosecution, both US and foreign, with particular focus in the fields of biotechnology and the pharmaceutical arts . Qualifications:

Ph.D. or JD with a technical degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, or equivalent

Superior technical, verbal, and written communication skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment for multiple partners, prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous tasks

Candidate must be admitted or eligible to the USPTO agent exam

US work authorization (required)

1+ year(s) of patent prosecution experience in biotechnology and/or medicinal chemistry a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
