William Bak has been with Howson & Howson LLP since 1992 and became a partner in 2000. Bill’s intellectual property practice primarily focuses on U.S. patent prosecution in the electrical, mechanical, metallurgical, and computer science arts having successfully prosecuted hundreds of utility and design patent applications to allowance in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office within a broad range of technologies.
Bill also has significant experience in providing patentability and patent infringement opinions, state-of-the-art prior art studies, intellectual property counseling, prosecution of foreign and international patent applications, prosecution of domestic and foreign trademark applications, prosecution of copyright applications, and related litigation, licensing, and agreement work. Bill has worked in several patent and trademark cases tried in the federal district and appellate courts in the United States.
